A MANIFESTO OF ACHIEVEMENTS AND COMMITMENTS IN THE CRO CONSULTATION

The Church Recognized Organizations (CRO) Consultation was held at the Icon Hotel, EDSA, Cor. West Ave., Quezon City from January 20 to 22, 2017. The consultation highlighted the Top 10 Common Roles of Church Recognized Organizations.

The CROs shall:

  1. Intentionally develop a strong relationship among Church Recognized Organizations (CROs) and foster a genuine and caring relationship among members as_DSC6127 onefaith community through fellowship, regular Bible studies, annual CRO Thanksgiving Day, team activities, evangelistic rallies, logistical support, sharing of resources and in defining institutional directions and policies.
  2. Promote unity in understanding the UCCP Statement of Faith, principles and traditions, and in creating programs towards the attainment of the VMGO of the church.
  3. Encourage CRO members to perform and assert their own duties and roles as spiritual leaders in the family, church and even in the community.
  4. Enjoin itself in the decision-making process of the UCCP, and help communicate and implement the approved policies, and procedures and guidelines of the church.
  5. Help the church in developing a comprehensive and sustainable resource management system, help the local churches to be financially self-reliant using available local resources, develop stewardship consciousness, and generate and develop resources within and among CROs.
  6. Formulate, initiate and carry out relevant programs of the church and basic prophetic ministries and encourage CRO members to get involved.
  7. Commit to help in the total development of UCCP lay leaders and second-line leaders towards a better and more meaningful leadership, stewardship, strong network of Christian educators and administrators to handle various ministries of the church.
  8. Lead in supporting and ensuring the welfare of the church workers: ministerial students, ministers and retired ministers are taken care of.
  9. Encourage and develop a “Culture of Excellence” in achieving the goals and objectives of the church ministries, where 100% commitment, effort and achievement is the benchmark.
  10. Support the church and will continue to forge local and international partnership, programs and activities.

Having determined the 10 common roles of the CROs, the objectives and its corresponding goals were created:

  1. To review, correlate and strengthen the varied roles, functions, structures and different institutions, organizations and judicatories of the church towards unity and coherence.

1.a. To ensure organizational coordination, cooperation and monitoring.

  1. To strengthen and nurture the understanding, commitment and capacity of our spirit-filled constituency to carry out the prophetic ministry and basic ministries: Preaching, Teaching, and Healing of the church as a manifestation of our common identity and ownership.

2.a. To have a common/standard understanding of the life-work of the Church (Basic   Ministries and Prophetic Ministry).

2.b. To strengthen the ministries of the church.

  1. To formulate and operationalize a comprehensive stewardship plan to support the ministries of the church.

3.a. Increase the contribution and effective participation of JOIs in realizing the comprehensive stewardship plan.

3.b. Provide capacity building trainings for the development of lay leaders and officers.

At its conclusion, a manifesto was signed by officers of the various organizations and participants on the achievements and commitments of the UCCP Church Recognized Organizations.
