UCCP Gender Advocacy: Human Sexuality Education

Through the Gender Concerns Desk of the UCCP National Office, this curriculum intends to engage a follow up of Planning Meeting with UCC-USA (December 2016); apply a Writeshop on Cultural Adaptation Companion for (our) Whole Lives; train facilitators for Whole Lives Adult Sexuality Education with Cultural Adaptation; and capacitate jurisdictional representatives and Church Recognized Organizations (CROs) in addressing gender concerns in the local churches.

We need to face the challenges in Asia, especially when violence and terrorism plague Asia’s multicultural and pluralistic societies today. This is the context which God has given us and in which we are called to be His witness,” said Bishop Joseph Chusak Sirisut of the Federation of the Asian Bishops’ Conferences (FABC) in a plenary session on ‘Being the Church in Asia: Our Witnessing Together’.

We condemn the burning of the Dansalan College, an institution that welcomes people of all faiths and has served the Maranaos and the people of Marawi for a long time. We also condemn the assaults on every institution serving the public, and remember the right of families of all creeds to safely access education and healthcare.
