UCCP National Secretariat Gets Its Newly-Renovated Offices Blessed

March 28, 2017 marked the blessing of the newly renovated second floor of the UCCP National Secretariat. It was a day of fellowship and gathering of guests from the various judicatories, conferences, local churches and partners of the UCCP as they joined the National Secretariat management and staff in celebrating another milestone in the history of the church. The UCCP General Secretary, Bishop Reuel Marigza, welcomed everyone and shared a brief history of the National Secretariat’s residency in 877 EDSA, in connection with the historical importance of the address. He expressed his delight in the improvements made in the office which he will be passing on to his successor at the end of his term.

Guests from UCCP-owned establishments and UCCP partners were given an opportunity to give their well wishes to the national secretariat. The people behind the renovations were also acknowledged, for without their talents and efforts, the successful renovation couldn’t have become a reality.

The Reverend Cathy Chang, a mission co-worker from the Presbyterian Church USA, shared an inspiring and challenging message from the books of Genesis 12:1-2, 17:1-8 and Matthew 28:16-20 on how Abraham was called on by the Lord to go into a land that he will be shown, where he will be blessed and his name be made great. She compared her experiences, as well as her family’s, when they were called on to come to the Philippines and begin her work with the UCCP. It is indeed a challenge to everyone to continue to grow, not only in church membership, but also to continue to grow in our faith in the Lord our God.
